Finding your way around the school
One of the concerns that many of our Year 6s have is finding their way around the school. Many of you will have gone to primary schools that may have had one or two classrooms and a hall. St Francis Xavier is on three floors; green, blue and purple. The classrooms all start with either G,B or P so that you can work out which floor you need to be on. You will have a form room that will not change but for the rest of the school week, you may be in a different room each lesson. We will make sure we have staff on the corridors and older students to guide you to your classroom. In the first few days, your teachers will expect there to be times when you arrive a little late because you may have got lost, but you will soon find your way around. There is a map in your planner and we have helpful signs displayed in the corridor to help you understand where you are.
